Stayed at Caesar’s Palace a few years ago. Went to the casino’s watch store early in the night to look around. The salesman let me try on a watch I was interested in. After he told me it was $24K I asked to see the four-figure watches. He showed me one he thought I would like that was around $8K. I told him if I made enough money that night I’d be back the next day to buy it. He responded that I wouldn’t be the first person to keep that promise.
That night I turned $2K into $10K, stared at my chips and thought about the watch, but decided to keep playing and managed to turn $10K into $0.
I still miss that watch.
